SoCal Barn Doors Limited Warranty and Policies:

Custom Door Warranty:

SoCal Barn Doors warrants that, during the applicable warranty period, the product or its components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship.

All door orders at SoCal Barn Doors are customized, non-refundable, and considered final sale.

Each door is meticulously crafted upon order, making it a custom-made product and, consequently, not eligible for return.

In the unlikely event of a deviation from specifications, SoCal Barn Doors will rectify the error if notified on the day of door pickup or delivery/installation.

It is highly recommended to inspect your door upon arrival and promptly report any issues.

SoCal Barn Doors does not provide replacements for doors or hardware that break or bow due to improper care and maintenance.

Cancellation requests before production will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and approved cancellations will be refunded, excluding any credit card fees processed with the online order.

Finish Warranty:

SoCal Barn Doors provides a warranty for all barn door finishes, including paints and stains, for a period of 90 days, subject to specific conditions.

The warranty is contingent upon the proper inspection of the door upon receipt.

Doors must be appropriately maintained and installed following the provided installation instructions to remain eligible for coverage.

Any doors installed improperly or outdoors are not covered under this warranty.

Wood, being a natural material, may exhibit variations such as knots and imperfections, especially noticeable in stained products.

Reclaimed Wood products are inherently unique, and there might be color differences from the pictured product.

The warranty does not cover precise paint color matching due to natural variations beyond control. Please check with your local paint supplier for physical swatches prior to selecting your paint choice.

Warping/Movement Warranty:

SoCal Barn Doors extends a warranty covering warping or movement concerns for up to 90 days.

"Warping" refers to doors being misaligned by more than 1/4" over an 8' length.

"Squareness tolerance" is assessed by combining diagonal measurements, allowing a 1/2" tolerance over an 8' length.

Damages and Issues:

DO NOT dispose or destroy the shipping crate until you are satisfied with your product.

SoCal Barn Doors is not obligated to provide another shipping crate if the original is discarded, regardless of the reason for the door return.

If a new crate is needed, we can send a standard size crate (4x8’) for a crate build fee of $300 + shipping (larger door crates are available at an additional cost and will vary depending on size).

Return shipping and freight costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Inspect your order upon reception and contact SoCal Barn Doors immediately for defective, damaged, or incorrect items.

It is crucial to promptly examine shipments upon arrival.

Any shipping damage, including concealed damage, should be reported to SoCal Barn Doors along with accompanying pictures via email to info@socalbarndoors.com within 48 hours of receiving the product to initiate a shipping claim.

Please inform us of any missing items within 48 hours of product receipt. Timely reporting is essential for accurate resolution.

Exclusions:

Unreasonable wear, tear, unintended use, vandalism, and "Acts of God."

Incorrect measurements/sizing. Custom doors are built in accordance with supplied measurements within an ¼” tolerance. Please refer to the “How to measure” Documentation page for proper sizing/measurements prior to ordering.

Damages from transportation, storage, improper use, etc.

Products not installed within 30 days of receipt.

Raw, unfinished, “finished ready,” or primer finished doors.

Changes due to exposure to elements not covered.

Exterior doors without sufficient overhang/coverage based on climate and direction. The definition of a "sufficient overhang" depends on the climate and direction the door faces .Determine the required overhang using a straightforward formula: Y = 1/2X (in most cases). Y = the size of the overhang. X = is the height of the base of the door to the bottom of the overhang.  For instance, if the distance from the base of your door to the bottom of your overhang measures eight feet, the overhang should ideally be a minimum of four feet deep. It's essential to adjust the exposure coefficient according to your climate and the orientation of your door. In certain conditions, the exposure may be excessively extreme for a door, irrespective of the overhang.
